Popcorn Phonics is a 2-week comprehensive online course, designed to equip parents and educators with the necessary skills needed to teach phonics systematically to children (2 - 4 years). The Popcorn Phonics course equips you with the skills to start your child’s language development journey. 

 

Popcorn Phonics Level-1 consists of 6 sessions: 

Session 1: Introduction to Phonemic Awareness

Session 2: Let’s enter into The World of Consonants

Session 3: The Consonant Sounds

Session 4: Popcorn Short Vowel Word Families

Session 5: Popcorn Long Vowel Word Families

Session 6: Popcorn Phonics Piñata: A bank of phonic games and activities.

 

The course focuses on application based learning where participants apply their knowledge and understanding of phonics. Our course offers you strategies for developing visual, kinesthetic and listening skills, exposure to rhythm and rhymes expressions - all of which help a young child master phonics.

 

With effective and informative sessions ably conducted by experts, the Popcorn Phonics course is practical and experiential. The course offers resources that are simple, engaging, and illuminating for participants to help steer children into becoming fluent readers.

How does it work:

1. Weekly live sessions conducted every Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday between 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM

2. The sessions provide you with a progressing set of skills. The skills learnt at each session are to be put into practice during the week via 2 assignment submissions, followed by feedback received from your mentor

3. Popcorn Phonics Resource Bank to help you implement your learning

4. Check-ins with your mentor to address any queries

5. Receive a certificate of participation at the end of the course
