Popcorn Grammar is a 1-week comprehensive online course, designed to equip parents and educators with the necessary skills needed to teach more advanced concepts of phonics systematically to children (5 - 8 years). You have laid the foundation for reading with your child and now they are ready to undertake more complex reading and writing processes. As they learn more advanced concepts of phonics, they will begin to see how reading comes together. 

 

Popcorn Grammar Level-1 consists of 6 sessions: 

Session 1: Introduction to Parts of Speech

Session 2: The Naming World: Nouns

Session 3: The World of Pronouns

Session 4: The Describing World: Adjectives

Session 5: The Action World: Verbs

Session 6: Popcorn Grammar Takeaways

The course focuses on application based learning where participants apply their knowledge and understanding of grammar. Learning grammar in context will allow participants to see how rules can be used meaningfully in sentences. The program will refresh your understanding of basic grammar concepts all of which help a young child master their communication skills.

 

With effective and informative sessions ably conducted by experts, the Popcorn Grammar course is practical and experiential. The course offers resources that are simple, engaging, and illuminating for participants to help steer children into becoming fluent readers.

- Educators who wish to refresh their knowledge of Grammar

How does it work:

1. Weekly live sessions conducted from Monday - Saturday between 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM; 

2. The sessions provide you with a progressing set of skills. The skills learnt at each session are to be put into practice during the week, via 1 assignment, followed by feedback from your mentor

3. Check-ins with your mentor to address any queries

4. Receive a certificate of participation at the end of the course
